Making combination pieces of hooking and braiding looks beyond the traditional outside edge of hooking by adding textural and interesting borders made with the lush colours of wool braids. Braids can frame, compliment, or add contrast to the hooked piece. Students hooked shapes about 6" and learned all the techniques to add braiding to the inside or outside of any shaped hooked wall hanging or rug.
Message Mats with Kris Miller USA
Messages, sayings and phrases were added to designs in this class. Kris taught embellishment techniques to make messages extra-special! and explored adding a hidden message to your hooked rugs.
